The inland location of the Port of Ghent - although only on six hours navigation time from the North Sea pilotstation - and the very dense motorways, inland waterways and railnetwork in the whole of Belgium create a lot of advantages regarding the physical distribution of the goods.
All three modi - road, rail and inland waterways - are very well developed.
All our quays are deepwater quays and all terminals are connected to the railwaynetwork. All terminals are connected to the dense road network, with the E17 and E40 not further away than 10 minutes driving.
